The private open-air onsen baths were really nice. The room was spacious, with a separate area for the "kitchen" and toilet, living and seating. The property was located next to one of the main streets, so it was easy to get to and leave from with the car.

The best part of this ryokan was that we had our private bath area attached to the room. We checked all 3 of their bath houses but our own bathtub had the cleanest water and space aside from small insects (mostly ants) all over the area. They charged bath service fee 1000Y for our staying period for 2 nights 3 days. The next best thing for us was their breakfast. We were so glad that we include the breakfast service during our stay. The foods were made with mostly fresh and various local ingredients. I once asked if we could get a little more of the one of the small dishes to the staff. She explained that it would be difficult to add more amount but brought some out for us. The third best thing was their "jigoku steamer" that was available for their guests. We purchased fresh seafood at the near-by market and nourished ourselves with the delicious foods. They let you borrow all the gears and explain how to use the steamer in details. It's so worth to try. Lack of English speaking staffs wasn't a big issue but would be helpful at times. Overall, we stayed happy and enjoyed the onsen experiences.
